The creative industry and diversity are still struggling to get along. Despite being an industry that
thrives with unique ideas, opinions and differing life experiences - the dangers of
unconscious bias in interview rooms, meeting rooms and creative reviews are just as
present as they were in the 50s. Sure, there might not be as many midday whiskeys, but
the gender gap is as relentless as ever.
Constantly on the lookout for a solution, one of the most interesting discussions is the
contentious dichotomy between quotas and merit. Do we have to set rules and adapt
company standards? Or does this greatly devalue the credentials of an entire gender?
